I think I need to mature more as a writer before I take on a book. I am doing a lot better writing random scenes to something not even realated to my wonderful land of Kantra. There are many things I have been trying to figure out with my stories. How exactly do I tell them? Switches from scenes are always choppy and my character development is vastly wanting. Well whatever I do, I am sure nothing can be as bad as the stories I use to write.
I have recently made some critical updates to my website: www.grahampictures.com. 2 more pages to make before it is completely done!!!!!
Here is something I wrote awhile ago. This is somewhere in te beginning of the Unaware, which I think i am going to return to since it is a much better developed story than "The Call"
Gavalen often wished to go over the mountains himself to join his brother Navern and fight the injustice of Hastherth, the self procalimed new king of Kantra. Gavalen knew little about King Amaser who had been removed from the throne nineteen years before but everyone he knew said that times were better when Amaser was king.
Gavalens thoughts were interupted by another prescence in the blacksmiths shop. Adrinera had entered to bring her father some water.
“Lovely day is it not,” she said to her father. Drine smiled at his daughter.
“I was beginning to think you wouldn’t come; help Gavalen organize that equipment, theres a lot of it.”
“Do I have to?” she asked, “I would much rather go off and practice my dagger throwing.”
“Yes you have to, there is more to life than dagger throwing,” he replied. She moved over to where Gavalen was and proceeded to help him.
“Have either of you haer the news?” she said keeping her eyes on her work.
“What news?” asked Gavalen.
“Soliders are arriving from over the mountains,” she said, “its been said that a whole regiment stopped in Lytie last week.”
“For what reason?” asked Gavalen.
“From what I heard they were chasing a rebel,” she said, “but it seems unlikely that was the case since they took all orphans into custody. Kaly says her father thinks the empire is trying to get new slaves to sell to their miners.” Drine looked up at the two, fear flashed in his eyes.
“Are they headed towards here?” he asked.
“Yes,” Adrinera said, “humans leading a large band of creatures from Wrivile is how Kalay described them, her cousin lives in Lytie.”
“If they are taking orphans, you could be in danger Gavalen,” Drine said, “the best thing for you to do is to become as part of this family.”
“They wouldn’t bother me, I’ll be fine,” Gavalen said.
“I am not so sure, if they need new slaves anyone they can get they will get,” Drine replied, “you could be in danger. Your brother told me to look after you and thats what I plan to do.”
“Well I could say you were my uncle,” Gavalen said, “its unlikely that any of the villagers will contradict it if they know whats going on.”
“That wouldn’t be a problem,” Adrinera spoke up, “many families are taking some the orphans to be able to sheild them from the soliders. I wonder if they’ll expect it, they are not unintelligent.”
“We’ll have to make them unintelligent,” Drine said, “Now get back to work you two enough talk.”
Well then goodday for now!

REVIEW: Wall E! I really enjoyed this movie! Despite the boring beginning and the slightly environmentalist tones to the film it was probably one of the most romantic movies I've seen all year. Which might not be saying a lot because I haven't seen any romantic movies all year. Well I though the movie was very clever, cute, and fun! Wall E was a delightable character, as were EVE and MO, the latter being my favorite charater. MO, though not a main charater at all had the coolest name and was very funny with his germaphobic behavoir. I was practically cheering when the captian walked for the first time! Overall, great film! 4/5.
