The Last Day

Today was the final day of classes for me at River Valley and now after two finals next week I am done with High School forever! It's all so amazing I can't believe it! Months ago I thought it would be hard to leave the place I've gone to school fro 6 years but now that it's time I am ready for it. I know that as I go on I can remember High School as a wonderful experience that I am sure will be topped by college!

Favorite Michael Card Songs and Lyrics

The other day I was in the car listening to Michael Card and I had an idea about posting some things. So, Here are a few of my favorite lines from some of my favorite Michael Card songs.

"I am unworthy, how can I reply? There's nothing that You can not do. You are the storm that calmed my soul; I place my hand over my mouth, I place my hand over my mouth." - Job Suite, Michael Card.

"Then they will know, that I am Savior, I am redeemer and friend. Emmanuel the God who is with them, the God who gives all he can. He is Salvation, he is the kingdom, to know him is paradise. Then they will know that I am Father, then they will know I am Lord." - Then They Will Know, Michael Card.

"Remember your creator in the days when you are young, and He will be your hope under the sun!" - Under the Sun, Michael Card.

"Then God himself will wipe the tears form every weeping eye. No death, no pain, no mourning cry and every tear lay dry. And now our God will dwell with them, the new Jerusalem and he himself will walk with them, the New Jerusalem." - The New Jerusalem, Michael Card

"Never will I leave you, thats something Ill never do. Forever remember that its true, never will I leave you." - Never Will I Leave You, Michael Card.

"So ruthless he loves us, so reckless his embrace, to show relentless kindness to a hardened human race... By his blood, he bought a violent grace." - A Violent Grace, Michael Card.

"Could it be You make Your presence known so often by your absence? Could it be that questions tell us more than answers ever do? Could it be that you would really rather die than live without us? Could it be the only answer that means anything is You?" - Could it Be, Michael Card.

"For I would wander weary miles; would welcome ridicule my child to simply see the sunrise of your smile. To see the light behind your eyes, a happy thought that makes you fly." - Sunrise of Your Smile, Michael Card.

-So there are a few quotes I love and that is my post for today. In other news the last day of school is tomorrow and graduation is now in a week! I am so very excited I can barely contain myself! I have waited for this moment for so long and now its finally here!

Review: I haven't reviewed anything in awhile so I'll review one of my favorite movies "The Sound of Music." This film is one of the greatest musicals of all time with an absolutely incredible bunch of songs and many beautiful voices singing them. The music coupled with the endearing story make it one of the greatest family films of all time.

The Project Presentation Day

Yesterday Was project Presentation day and I got some photos of my display to post!

In the photo I have five of the six necklaces I made and the two pairs of earrings I worked on. I wore the sixth necklace around school because it matched my shirt. Here is a photo of me by my display:

It was a fun presentation day! The best project was of course the one I was in and I am sure I wouldn't have enjoyed doing the other projects. Yesterday I didn't get to go to my choir performance due to unforeseen circumstances so I don't have any pictures from that. I am sure the rest of the choir did great without me, they are all so fun!

Projects Week Day 4

Today I made my final three pieces of Jewelry for my project display tomorrow! I am so glad that this is the last work day for the week and that i have everything done. Tomorrow is the project presentation day and it is sure to be fun!

Tomorrow night is our school's talent show and for the first time I am actually performing in it. I am performing with the school choir instead of on my own because I have absolutely nothing prepared. I am kinda excited about the performance but also a little worried because I usually have trouble with the lyrics of some of the songs. Its not my fault the the sections are the same but different at the same time!

Can't wait until tomorrow!

Projects Week Day 3

So today my main focus is finishing my powerpoint and using geometry to describe one of my pieces of jewelry. It should all be pretty easy and I can not wait to go to school tomorrow with it all. I also have plans to make some bracelets today and possibly a necklace.

This week I wrote a satire skit for Pride and Prejudice while throwing in some other British novels like "Frankenstein" and "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight." The skit is not completely finished yet as there are some parts that I am dissatisfied with but it will be finished today!

I also have been working on my photography website lately as I have an abundance of shots I want to put on it. I can't wait until I'm finished!

Projects Week Day 2

Today I went to school even though I didn't have to because I had so much fun making jewelry yesterday that I wanted to make more. I made a necklace and a pair of earrings. Halfway through my necklace Miss Debusk smelled smoke and we found out that there was a house fire in Riverside. We were glad to hear it wasn't a huge out of control wild fire like we've had so many of here in SD but we both felt sorry for the people who owned the house.

Today has also been great because I'm pretty much done with my research for my Jewelry project and all I have to do now is put it in my power point.

Review: Kutless released a new album a while ago called "To Know that You're Alive." I have actually listened to some songs off of it lately and I really like them. The names of the songs are "You,"Complete," and "Dying to Become." I have really been enjoying these songs in this time of spring.

Projects Week Day 1

Projects week began today and I feel like this week is going to be incredible. For my project I am making Jewelry with my Calculus teacher and a group of other girls. Another part of the project is researching jewelry from a different culture.

Today I made two necklaces and one pair of earrings. I used to make jewelry all over the time but I stopped in late 10th grade/ early 11th grade as I got really serious about my school work. Junior year was so hard I just didn't have any inspiration to make anything. Today I got a fresh inspiration as the pieces I have made are the best I've ever done!

So this week is off to a great start and I can't wait for project presentations at the end of it or for my choir performance (should be interesting...).

I'm going back to my research now!

Another Senior Photoshoot

Katerina did about four outfit changes. I planned to change my lens a couple times but the one I was using seemed to be working nicely so I used it for the entire shoot. This shot is my favorite out of all of them for many reasons, one being the perfect background and the other being Katerina's genuine smile!

After editing all these I have an urge to do more photo shoots! I really don't get to do enough!
