Adventures

I had an adventure this week around the Point Loma campus! To think only three weeks next till I move in! I now have a large pile of things waiting to go in the corner of my room and I am going to add more too it before leaving!

I am so very excited the countdown beings now! Three weeks! Three weeks!

So there are many adventures to come for me. This is my last July post and I look forward to posting more in August as I move into Point Loma!

Review: This is more like a pre-review than a review. BarlowGirl is releasing a new album on September 22, 2009 called "Love and War." Being a huge BarlowGirl fan I have been waiting for previews of the songs and they have finally come! I have heard little spinets of the album and I do say that it is better than their last one and I liked their last one a lot. Highlight tracks I can't wait to hear are "Our Worlds Collide", "Love is Marching" and "Sing me a Love Song." When I do get the full album I'll review the entire thing!

Crippling Loss

There is a certain piece of technology that I have relied on too much in the past year. My lovely phone... Well it has been missing now for well over a month and I still remember the last day I used it, June 6th, 2009 right after graduation. I have no clue what had become of it or where it has fallen, all I am sure of is that it has not turned up and will not turn up. This is a sad loss as it is the cutest phone I have ever owned and I dread having to replace it with a stupid ugly free phone.

I am at my wits end trying to figure out where I have not searched for it and I have this sinking feeling it was stolen at the mall I went to on June 6th. Though that makes no sense to me as I still do not believe I had it at the mall it is the only logical thing I can think of.

The problem with loosing the phone is that it was so much more than just a device to call people with! It was my organizer. Now I have to depend on computer alerts and computer alarms. I'm not on my computer all day so this is causing me to be slightly more forgetful! I am just glad that it got lost after the school year was over because before would have been awful!

Well now its goodbye to the phone. I hope that my next phone has some of the beautiful features this phone had.

Honor Her: RIP Maximus

Is Rome worth one good Bunny's life? We believed it once. Make us believe it again. She was a soldier of Rome. Honour her.

You have proved your valour yet again, Maximus. For the last time.

Rest in peace Maximus. Your life was short and we knew you for but a week but your memory will hold firm in our hearts!

Goodbye Bunny.

*Tear* *Tear* *Sob* *Sob*

It's been a crazy ten minutes. I can't believe that the adorable baby bunny that we have had for just over a week has died so soon. I hate the merciless sun! It must of had a painful death alone in the heat, with Wallace sitting in the shade not knowing what to do! He would have saved her if he could have I know he would have! Now we look at Wallace, Hawk Eye, and Ehud and hold their lives more dear as we see how quickly an animal can die if left unattended for just 8 hours. Never again! If there is another Maximus in the future then we will attend her properly to keep her from the fate which took our beloved bunny!

2 Chicks and 1 dog! All must survive!

Maximus

Welcome to the family Maximus! You're the best rabbit in the world!

Rebecca's newest pet roaming about in the grass.

The adorable creature likes eating grass!

She was exploring everywhere in the backyard! She stood up in this photo to smell the grape vines!

Scarlet By Stephen Lawhead

Awhile back a posted a review on a book called "Hood" the first in the retelling of Robin Hood by Stephen Lawhead. Seeing that BBC's Robin Hood show is over forever I decided to finish up the second book Scarlet so I could write whether I liked it or not. I am happy to say that though it was a bit hard to get into it was a good story full of crazy twists and turns. There was more about Bran in it than I expected after realizing that most of it was told in the first person of a new character, Will Scarlet. Now that I have finished the book I can gladly add it to my list of books that I have actually finished willingly. I wanted to get to the end of the book because there was so much at stake for the characters and near the end I really believed that a happy ending was coming though I knew there was a third book, sadly that end was not to be mine as the book left me hanging off a cliff waiting for the paperback of the third book to be released. If you enjoy Medieval Robin Hood stories or the fantasy writings of Tolikein and Lewis you will enjoy this book.

Goodbye Robin Hood

It seems the time has come to say goodbye to BBC's family television series, Robin Hood. It had a great first two runs with the third run being rocky after the sudden death of Marian. The third season was less family orientated as it was confusing and full of random action. Over the course of the third season the show lost 4 million viewers and the writers left the finale open after much tragedy. Many people were speculating about who would be the next Robin Hood after the death of our beloved hero. I was ready to give a fourth series a try but now it's over for good, BBC has axed Robin Hood. So now we say far well to a sometimes cheesy show but it will be missed.
